Boards & Commissions

Apply online now. View current board vacancies now. The Board of Commissioners relies on volunteers to meet a crucial need for Wake County. Our many volunteers serve as our eyes and ears out in the community, and we value the advice they bring back to us. Our volunteers range from college students to college professors, homemakers to horticulturists, planners to park enthusiasts. They tutor and teach, feed the homeless, protect the environment, help to build homes and help to build character. They help children cope with grief and seniors experience joy and quality living in their later years. We rely on volunteers for their experience, wisdom and perspective. Please join our ranks and learn how you can make a tremendous difference in our community. Together, we can make Wake County a better place in which to live, work, learn and play!
